Obelisk

The Obelisk of Theodosius, started its life in the Temple of Karnak, under the reign of Tutmoses III (1475-1425BC). The Roman Emperor Theodosius I (378-392AD) had it transported to Constantinople in 390AD (another obelisk was simultaneously transported to Rome). Today, it stands in the Hippodrome near the Sultanahmet Mosque and measures 25 meters high.
